Its English common name is called "Dusty Miller" and the Latin (scientific) name is Senecio cineraria. There are many varieties, or cultivars, of this plant. This southern European native can be grown as a perennial (a plant that lives more than a year) in Zones 9-10, and as an annual in Zones 3-8. Height is between 8 and 15 inches as annuals, but in Zones 9-10 some varieties grow 2 to 2 1/2 feet tall. I saw too many of this plant in Taiwan in February this year. My parents have many of them and they're much bigger and bushier than 2 to 2.5 feet (60cm to 75cm). I like it since its color has soothing effect to my feeling especially during hot summertime.
